Renaming a Sub Album

Overview: The following tutorial is a step by step guide on how to rename a sub album inside of your Photobucket account.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder. You must currently have a sub album created in your account.

Steps to Take:
  1. Log into your Photobucket account at http://www.photobucket.com
  2. From the navigation bar at the top of your album, select the "albums & upload" tab.
  3. Select the "pencil" icon next to the sub album that you would like to rename.
  4. Enter a new name for your sub album.

Note: Please do not include special characters in the name, such as '@`~$#%,. You will also want to avoid using the word "banner" in your sub album names as there are possible browser and firewall security settings that will prevent this album from being visible.

Note: The use of spaces in sub album names may cause issues when linking content off of Photobucket. Leading spaces are not always obvious from the sub album display, but can be seen by looking at the address or URL for the sub album. They will usually appear as a %20 in the address window of your browser when you have entered the sub album.

  5. Click on the "ok" button when you are ready to proceed.
  6. A window will pop up warning you that renaming an album will break all of the links that you may have set up from your Photobucket account. Click "OK" to continue.
  7. A message will appear at the top of your page that says, "Album renamed."
  8. The newly renamed sub album now appears in your account.
