Linking a Slideshow to MySpace Profile

Overview: The following tutorial is a step by step guide on how to link a Photobucket Slideshow to your MySpace profile.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder and a registered MySpace user. You must already have created slideshows in your account prior to viewing this tutorial. To view our "Creating Slideshows" tutorial, please click here.

Note: MySpace may restrict or disable the publishing of Photobucket slideshows on various sections of the website. Slideshows can currently be published to a MySpace profile and blog pages without any difficulty. To publish a slideshow as a comment to another individual's MySpace profile and/or blogpost may require approval of the MySpace page owner. Users may have html commenting completely disabled on their MySpace page.

Steps to Take:
  1. Log into your Photobucket account at http://www.photobucket.com
  2. From the navigation bar at the top of your album, select the "albums & upload" tab.
  3. Locate the slideshow that you would like to link to your MySpace profile. Left click in the "HTML Tag" field. This will automatically copy the code for you, as denoted by the yellow "Copied" message that pops up.

Note: If you have a lot of content in your album and are having trouble locating the slideshow, simply click on the "slideshows" tab from the filter options above your thumbnails.

  4. Open another browser window and sign into your MySpace account. From the MySpace control panel, click on the "Edit Profile" link.
  5. Paste the "HTML Tag" code into the field where you would like your slideshow to be displayed.
  6. The "HTML Tag" code for your slideshow now displays in the appropriate field in your profile. Preview and save your profile in order for your changes to take effect.
  7. Your slideshow will now be visible on your MySpace profile!
