Uploading Images with the Old Uploader
Overview: The following tutorial explains how to upload an image or images using the old Photobucket uploader.
Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder. Your web browser must support JavaScript and JavaScript must be enabled. Enable JavaScript in your browser's settings/preferences/options, or see the blog post here for instructions.
Steps to Take:
- Log into your Photobucket account at http://www.photobucket.com
Enter your username and password at the top of the page, then click the log in button to log into your Photobucket account.
- Select albums & upload from the menu at the top of your album.

- Navigate to the album into which you want to upload your image(s). Click the old uploader link in the Upload panel.
Note: If you are already using the old uploader, this step does not apply.

- Click the images from my PC tab in the Upload panel. The tab says images from my mac on a Macintosh.

- Click the options link to set the max image size for your upload(s). You can set the size before or after you browse for your image(s).
Note: You can also choose to scramble your filenames when you click options.
- Click Browse to find the file on your computer that you want to upload.
Notes:
- The file name cannot contain special characters.
- Supported image file types are jpg, jpeg, gif, png, bmp (bmp converts to jpg on upload), and swf (Pro users only).
- Double-click the image you want to upload, or select the image, and click Open.

- Enter a title in the click to add title field, if you choose. Your entry displays above the image in your album. If your account is public, the title is accessible via the Search functionality.
Click the remove link to remove the image from the Upload panel. - Repeat steps 6 to 8 if you want to add multiple images. Click add more to add more fields. You can add up to 20 images at one time.
- Click Upload when you have selected the image(s) you want. The upload starts, and a progress meter displays. The size of your image(s) and the speed of your internet connection affect upload speed.
A message displays when the upload is successful.
