Linking to a Social Network or Blogging Site

Overview: The following tutorial explains how to link from social networking and blogging sites to media within your Photobucket account.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder. You must have media in your account.

Steps to Take:
  1. Open the Photobucket site at http://www.photobucket.com.

Enter your username and password at the top of the page, then click the log in button to log into your Photobucket account.

  2. Select albums & upload from the menu at the top of your album.
  3. Locate the file to which you want to link. The link codes display below the thumbnail.

Note: The codes may only display if you move your mouse over the media. See How do I control the linking codes that display in my album for details.
  4. Click the appropriate link code below the thumbnail (try the HTML Code), copy the code, and then paste the code into a message board, forum, email, social networking site, etc. The code you require depends on the web site from which you are linking.

For sites that do not allow a hyperlink back to another site, like Neopets, you can:

    1. Click the checkbox below the media to which you want to link.
    2. Click the Generate HTML & IMG code button at the bottom of the page.
    3. Copy the code in the HTML images for Ebay, Livejournal, MySpace, etc. field, and paste it into the web site from which you want to link.
You can include links to Photobucket in different places, on different web sites. Many social networking sites allow linking from your Profile page.
