Moving Media

Overview: The following tutorial explains how to move a single file or multiple files from one album into another, within your Photobucket account.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder. You must have uploaded content into your account. You must have created sub-albums within your account.

Steps to Take:
  1. Open the Photobucket site at http://www.photobucket.com.

Enter your username and password at the top of the page, then click the log in button to log into your Photobucket account.

  2. Select the albums & upload button from the menu at the top of your album.
  3. Click the move link directly above a thumbnail to move just ONE file.

    OR

Check the box(es) for the file(s) that you want to move, and then click the Move Selected button at the bottom of the page.

    OR

If you want to move all the media in your album, click the view all link at the bottom, and check the select all checkbox. Then click the Move Selected button at the bottom of the page. This method is NOT recommended if you have more than a few hundred images in the album.

  4. Use the drop down list, and select the album into which you want to move your files.

Important! When you move your files, any direct links to those files (from forums, message boards, emails, etc.) will break. Any slideshows and remixes that use the moved files will also break.

  5. Click the Move button. A “Files moved” message displays at the top of your album when the files are successfully moved.
