Renaming a Sub-album

Overview: The following tutorial explains how to rename a sub-album inside of your Photobucket account.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder. You must currently have a sub-album created in your account.

Steps to Take:
  1. Open the Photobucket site at http://www.photobucket.com

Enter your username and password at the top of the page, then click the log in button to log into your Photobucket account.

  2. Select the albums & upload button from the menu at the top of your album.
  3. Click the edit link that is associated with the album side bar.
  4. On the album edit page, click the pencil/rename icon that is associated with the sub-album that you wish to rename.
  5. Enter a new name for your sub-album.

Note: Please do not include special characters in the name, such as @`~$#%,. You will also want to avoid using the word 'banner' in your sub album names as there are possible browser and firewall security settings that will prevent this album from being visible.

Note: The use of spaces in sub-album names may cause issues when linking content off of Photobucket.

Remember: If you do not click Save, your changes are discarded.

Important! Renaming your sub-album may cause direct links, slideshows and remixes within it to break.

  6. An 'Album renamed' message will appear at the top of your page. The newly renamed sub-album will now be available to you from the side bar in your album.
