Uploading Using Flock (.7.x)

Overview: The following tutorial is a step by step guide on how to upload images into your Photobucket account using the Flock Web Browser version .7.x.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder. You must already have downloaded, installed, and configured Flock for Photobucket integration.

Steps to Take:
  1. Open a new Flock Web Browser window and click on the 'PICS' icon from the Flock toolbar.

  2. The 'Photobucket Upload Bar' will now appear at the top of your page. Make sure you have your Photobucket username selected.

  3. Browse your computer for the image (or images) you want to upload to your Photobucket account using Flock. Select the images and drag and drop them into the 'Photobucket Upload Bar.'

    Note: At this time, you can only upload JPEG, PNG, GIF, and BMP files using this method.

  4. Selecting the 'Uploader' button from the top right corner of your browser window will also allow you to accomplish this drag and drop method for uploading images.

  5. If you would like to add additional images to the upload bar, select 'Choose Photos.' If you would like to remove an image, simply highlight the image preview and select the 'Remove' button.
  6. The images that are in the upload queue will be thumbnailed here.
  7. The large preview window is where you can view the changes made to your image from step #8 below.
  8. Crop and Rotate your images from here. If you are not satisfied with your changes, select the 'Revert' button to make your image go back to its original state.
  9. Change the Filename and add a Description here.
  10. When you are finished editing your images, select the 'Upload' button to continue with the uploading process. Make sure 'Use Photobucket' is selected in the menu.

  11. Upload settings for Photobucket You will need to check your 'Uploading Options' in your Photobucket account to make sure that you end up with the desired image size. Your Photobucket options should be set equal to or higher than the Flock Web Browser settings if you choose to use this option.

    Note: If you do not wish to use the Flock Web Browser resizing options (you are using your Photobucket options instead), please select 'Do not resize photos' at this time.

  12. Album Settings You can choose which Photobucket sub-album to upload your images into. Select 'Skip album selection' to upload into your main album.
  13. Upload Details This section displays the number of photos in your account, the estimated size of the current upload, and the current total size (in MB) of your account. You can select the 'Go Pro' link to upgrade to a Pro account from here as well if you are running out of space.
  14. Select the 'Upload' button to initialize the uploading process.

  15. A progress meter will appear, showing you how far along in the upload process you are.

  16. You will see a 'You successfully uploaded your photos' message when the uploading process has finished.

  17. Your images are now viewable in the 'Photobucket Upload Bar' in Flock and are ready to share and link around the web!
