Linking to YouTube.com (Director background)

Overview: The following tutorial explains how to link an image from your Photobucket account to the background image of your YouTube Director page.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder. You must already have images uploaded into your account. You must have a YouTube.com 'Director' account in order to use this tutorial.

1. Open the Photobucket site at http://www.photobucket.com

   Enter your username and password at the top of the page, then click the log in button to log into your Photobucket account.

2. Select the albums & upload button from the menu at the top of your album.
   
3. Locate an image that you would like to link to your YouTube.com 'Director' page. You will be using the 'Direct Link' code in this tutorial. Left click in the 'Direct Link' field. This will automatically copy the code for you, as denoted by the yellow 'Copied' message that pops up.
   
4. Open up a new browser window, or tab, and click on the 'Edit Channel' button on YouTube.
   
5. Next, click on the 'Channel Design' link.
   
6. Under the 'Advanced Design Customization' section at the bottom of the page, paste your Photobucket URL into the 'Background Image (URL)' field. You can also decide if you want the background image to repeat or not.
   
7. After you are finished configuring this section.click on the 'Update Channel' button so your changes take effect.
   
8. Your Photobucket image will now display on the background of your YouTube Director page!
