Uploading Images with the Bulk Uploader
Overview: The following tutorial explains how to use the Photobucket Bulk Uploader to upload up to 250 images at a time.
Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder and have the most current versions of java and Adobe Flash installed on your computer. You must also be using a web browser that has JavaScript/activescript enabled.
Steps to Take:
- Open the Photobucket site at http://www.photobucket.com
Enter your username and password at the top of the page, then click the log in button to log into your Photobucket account.
- Select albums & upload from the menu at the top of your album.

- Navigate to the album into which you want to upload your images. Click the bulk uploader link at the bottom of the Images & Video Upload panel.

- Navigate to your images in the choose a folder section of the Bulk Uploader, at the left.
Notes:
- You can upload 250 images at a time.
- File names cannot have any special characters, such as ( / * , ‘

- Adjust the position of the slider at the top right in the click to select photos panel to change the size of your preview images.
- Select the content you wish to upload:
- Click individual images in the picture viewer pane.
- Click-and-drag your mouse over multiple images to select multiple files. Or, click multiple images.
- Use the select all link to choose all images in the current folder.
Note: Supported file types are jpg, gif, png, bmp (bmp converts to jpg upon upload). Videos and swf files cannot be uploaded using the bulk uploader.
An orange checkmark icon displays at the bottom right corner of the thumbnail images that you select.

- Click add a title above each thumbnail to add individual image titles in the add descriptions & upload panel. Image titles can be up to 250 characters long.
- Click the rotate icon in the top right corner of each individual image in the add descriptions & upload panel if you want to rotate your images before you upload them.
- Click a thumbnail or the red "minus" icon at the bottom right corner of the image to unselect it, or click the clear all link to the top right in the add descriptions & upload panel to remove all of the images.
- Click tne more options link to change your maximum image size and other uploading options.
- Click the upload button when you are satisfied with the selected content.
- Set your upload preferences (Pro accounts ONLY). Choose to upload in high resolution or not. If you choose not to upload in high resolution, your images are resized to your default setting. Click more options to see and change your default.
Notes:
- You can change your default image size upload preferences in more options.
- The option to set your upload preference to high resolution only displays one time. You can change your selection in more options.
Your upload progress is denoted by the percentage of completion at the right. The upload time is dependent on the size of your images, the number of images uploaded, and the speed of your internet connection.
Note: Click the cancel upload link below the progress percentage to stop the upload. Any images that were successfully uploaded before you click "cancel upload" display in your account.
When the images have successfully been uploaded, a message displays at the top of your page that says "X of X images have uploaded!"
If the Add more tags and descriptions after upload option is selected in your upload options, a bulk tagging page displays.
