Creating a Remix

Overview: Remix with Adobe Premiere Express is an editing tool that allows you drag-and-drop content onto a timeline to combine images and video with graphics, captions, borders, transitions, music, and other effects. This tutorial explains how to create a remix.

Requirements: You must be a Photobucket account holder and have content into your account.

Steps to Take:
  1. Open the Photobucket site at http://www.photobucket.com

Enter your username and password at the top of the page, then click the log in button to log into your Photobucket account.

  2. Click remix in the menu at the top of your album.

Note: The remix will be saved in the album that you are in when you click remix.
  3. Browse for content in your main album or sub albums on the left side of the Remix application.
  4. Drag-and-drop content into the Preview pane on the right.

If you add an image, you can adjust the length of time the image displays by moving the slider. If you add a video, use the slider to trim your footage, if necessary.

    Notes:

    • Use the scissors icon to clip the video at multiple points and re-order them in your timeline.
    • Images cannot be scaled in size within the Remix application. Upload your images to the size you want or resize an image in Photobucket before you use it in a remix.
  5. You can drag-and-drop content from any of the following options into your remix.

    • Add Text or Stickers
    • Add a Border
    • Add Music
    • Add Transitions

    Notes:
    • You can add multiple graphics and text layers on a photo or video clip.
    • Toggle the tiny square button at the bottom left corner of the scene window to add multiple borders to your remix. By default, the option applies the border to all scenes. Uncheck the option to add different borders to as many assets as you want.
    • If you have a video file with audio already in your remix and you add music, the selected music replaces the audio in the video file.
    • Transitions display between the thumbnails, if you add them.
A timeline provides a visual representation of the content in your Remix.
  6. Drag-and-drop content to change its placement on the timeline.

Note: Drag content from the timeline to the asset panel on the left to delete it from the timeline. You can also select content in the timeline and then press Delete on your keyboard.

  7. Click Publish to save the remix into your Photobucket album. Don't forget to add a title!

Note: If you navigate away from your remix before you publish it, the next time you click remix, you are asked if you would like to load the previously autosaved remix or discard it and start a new one.
  8. Click edit above the thumbnail to edit the remix.

    OR

Click the thumbnail to open the full-view page, and then click edit original remix above your remix.

Remixes are limited to 20:00 minutes in play length for both Free and Pro accounts.
